major error -- Posted by Joshua Avery on 2007-10-09 01:46:52.
There was a pretty serious error in calling the stylesheets in Internet Explorer that I only just discovered. It caused nothing to be shown but a couple of commands. Turns out I had added a couple of hyphens where they didn't belong. With me not having a Windows computer it took this long for me to discover the bug.
It had no effect on other browsers such as Firefox or Opera.
layout update -- Posted by Joshua Avery on 2007-07-17 21:28:06.
There were some persistent bugs in the layout of this site and I have been unsuccessful in eliminating them. So tonight I tried a different approach and just changed up the layout a bit. It should clear up the bugs I have in mind, but it seems to have brought some of its own. I'll be tracking them down as soon as I can. Right now the layout only applies to those using any browser other than IE. It'll take a little while longer to get things working for IE. I'm hoping that the changes I've made to the main stylesheet will allow me to use the same stylesheet for both IE and all other browsers.
So, tell me what you think of the layout change.
Quick Update -- Posted by Joshua Avery on 2007-07-17 11:03:37.
Quick update this morning. Now, deleted news posts are not actually completely deleted immediately. They are flagged and no longer shown in their section or in the edit menu, but do remain on the server. In the case of an accidental deletion, it can be retrieved.
Surprisingly, the server has held up well over the summer. At least every time I've tried to access it (from 200 miles away) it has been online and kept its same IP. I did have some trouble early on in the summer with the name server trying to point the domain to the wrong computer, but that has been fixed now.
~~Notice~~ -- Posted by Joshua Avery on 2007-05-03 02:47:41.
This site will go down around Noon on May 11th and will remain down for at least a day as it is moved out of the dorm and to my house. Things may be a little rough over the summer because the DSL in Texarkana sometimes cuts out unexpectedly, but I will keep it up as much as possible, and hopefully get some work done fixing some issues that still remain.
If things get too bad, I'll look into moving the site to a remote server.

MMM pictures uploaded.
I added a little bit to the photo gallery. It now keeps track of views of images. It'll show beneath the image and its description the number of times it's been viewed.
Found and fixed a couple of bugs in the calendar. It wasn't recording the start and end times correctly and wasn't properly displaying times earlier than noon. These have been corrected.
